What do you know about the feast of the Presentation of Mary? When we look at ourselves, what kind of personal weaknesses of self-love do we have concerning the “two nations” struggling “within our wombs?” What are some ways that we can battle that self-love? How can we avoid being inordinately attached to things and desires? How do we strike the balance between having a good, simple desire versus having an inordinate desire? What do you think it would have been like to be Moses on the cu

Nov 22, 9:25 AM

VisitationSiste: What do you think it would have been like to be Moses on the cusp of entering the Promised Land, but only making it to where it was within sight? What lesson might we learn from this event?
Are you surprised that a saint like St. Jane de Chantal would have such a weakness within her heart as St. Francis describes?

Nov 22, 9:25 AM

VisitationSiste: Sun chat Nov 22 730pm est

Guest7288 (Guest): hi sr susan welcome this is bettychao

Nov 22, 7:34 PM

VisitationSiste: Hi Betty

Nov 22, 7:34 PM

Carol Ann: I have heard some stories but I don’t really know much

Nov 22, 7:35 PM

Guest1468 (Guest): I do not know anything about Feast of the Presentation of Mary.

Nov 22, 7:35 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: How lovely, Betty. Honestly, I never learned anything or even heard of the Presentation of Mary in school growing up, but that was a looooong time ago!!!

Nov 22, 7:35 PM

Dawn (Guest): Is that the day you took vows Sr or maybe you all renew on the same day?

Nov 22, 7:35 PM

Guest7288 (Guest): sister susan my mom put a wrong eyes drop and bove her eyes got hurt so this is why I didnt go to church becuase her eyes sick please say a rosarie healing prayer for her.

Nov 22, 7:35 PM

VisitationSiste: We all renew it publicly on this day I took my vows Aug 15

Nov 22, 7:36 PM

VisitationSiste: It is a public renewal but this year the only public there was the priest

Nov 22, 7:36 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: That’s beautiful Sr.

Nov 22, 7:36 PM

VisitationSiste: Usually we have people in the chapel

Nov 22, 7:36 PM

Dawn (Guest): beautiful day to renew everyone together

Nov 22, 7:36 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Others were there in spirit.

Nov 22, 7:36 PM

Guest1468 (Guest): it might have been beautiful intimate this year for all of you too.

Nov 22, 7:36 PM

VisitationSiste: so we have 3 days retreat before renewing This year I used homilies of St John Paul 2 that had excerpts on the evangelical counsels

Nov 22, 7:37 PM

Guest1468 (Guest): can you choose the homilies?

Nov 22, 7:37 PM

VisitationSiste: It was intimate- only 3 of us as the elderly Sisters are in the Infirmary this year but they also renewed

Nov 22, 7:37 PM

VisitationSiste: Yes you can choose

Nov 22, 7:37 PM

VisitationSiste: We have freedom in these retreats

Nov 22, 7:37 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: It’s a very difficult time for all everyone.

Nov 22, 7:38 PM

Guest1468 (Guest): may these special circumstances of this year renewal grow a special bond between the three of you.

Nov 22, 7:38 PM

Guest7288 (Guest): sister susan today I join the christion zion church our pastor lecture of the bible sermon and testmonie . this is lecture by the our preacher pastor ling guo she talk about the greatist of God and testmonie of christ. I join them and I studied my bible with humns I played and worship. bettychao

Nov 22, 7:38 PM

VisitationSiste: The Presentation of Mary is not in Scripture but in some apocryphal Gospels and in visionaries writings like Bl Catherine Emmerich

Nov 22, 7:38 PM

VisitationSiste: She was presented they say about 3 years of age

Nov 22, 7:39 PM

VisitationSiste: Some people get this feast confused with Feb 2 Presentation of Our Lord

Nov 22, 7:39 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Being a mom, I can’t imaging how difficult it must have been for her parents.

Nov 22, 7:40 PM

VisitationSiste: That is for sure but they were holy and no doubt had special grace as well

Nov 22, 7:40 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Though I know they were blessed, I can’t imaging it not being difficult.

Nov 22, 7:40 PM

Dawn (Guest): Wasnt this a Jewish custom, all children before 3 were presented to God. we can know she was. I only imagine it was a beautiful presentation

Nov 22, 7:40 PM

VisitationSiste: Perhaps I am not sure

Nov 22, 7:40 PM

VisitationSiste: Good research question!

Nov 22, 7:40 PM

Carol Ann: But Mary grew up in the Temple?

Nov 22, 7:40 PM

Dawn (Guest): yes!

Nov 22, 7:40 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Yes.

Nov 22, 7:41 PM

Guest7288 (Guest): when the sermon lecture started they have english and mandiren translation. i join the mass and christian zion church worship every day never stop. bettychao

Nov 22, 7:41 PM

VisitationSiste: Yes but by 14 she was back in Nazareth when the Archangel came

Nov 22, 7:41 PM

VisitationSiste: q 2 When we look at ourselves, what kind of personal weaknesses of self-love do we have concerning the “two nations” struggling “within our wombs

Nov 22, 7:41 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Sometimes I think that they chose the age of 3 because at that point the children are out of the “terrible” 2’s.

Nov 22, 7:42 PM

Dawn (Guest):

Nov 22, 7:42 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: I know Mary and her parents were special, but she did share our humanity too…just like her son.

Nov 22, 7:42 PM

Guest7288 (Guest): sr susan which healing prayer for the sick becuase mom is not felt well today which prayer is the best for the sick people can you tell me?

Nov 22, 7:42 PM

Carol Ann: My heart wants to follow God, but I struggle with giving my desires to God to take care of

Nov 22, 7:43 PM

Simone Robinson: I really wish I would understand your question in regards to the two nations in the womb better. I get the link to the Old Testament.. but a weak-ness in self love? What could that be?

Nov 22, 7:43 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: For me, it’s letting go.

Nov 22, 7:43 PM

Simone Robinson: ohh. weakness OF self-love

Nov 22, 7:43 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: It’s about me, even in prayer.

Nov 22, 7:44 PM

Simone Robinson: so.. where we put ourselves before GOD

Nov 22, 7:44 PM

Simone Robinson: oh there are many weaknesses

Nov 22, 7:44 PM

Simone Robinson: in the past – but still sometimes, in my marriage probably

Nov 22, 7:44 PM

VisitationSiste: Betty any heartfelt prayer is good, simple vocal prayer to Mary from our heart

Nov 22, 7:45 PM

Simone Robinson: but it reaches down to areas.. where I so long for holiness – but then notice that even that longing is attached to self-love and self- efficancy

Nov 22, 7:45 PM

Simone Robinson: I want to become holy on my own terms.. just cannot outrun sin

Nov 22, 7:46 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: I know sometimes I get scared when things happen, not saying I shouldn’t, that’s human, but I forget that God’s is there…always…to help me, comfort me.

Nov 22, 7:46 PM

VisitationSiste: There are times of selfishness during the day at least for me when I know God might want me to focus on another’s need

Nov 22, 7:46 PM

Carol Ann: We cannot outrun it, so we should run to Jesus

Nov 22, 7:46 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: He eases my fears when I let Him. I would think I “get it” by now.

Nov 22, 7:46 PM

Simone Robinson: good point Carol ANn

Nov 22, 7:47 PM

Simone Robinson: don’t be to hard on you Dorothy. You might “bounce” back into His arms faster now than in previous years.

Nov 22, 7:47 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Run to Jesus with it! He never refuses us.

Nov 22, 7:47 PM

VisitationSiste: That’s a good way of battling it! Fits right into that next q: What are some ways that we can battle that self-love?

Nov 22, 7:47 PM

Guest7288 (Guest): sr susan which prayer is good for healing the sick? becuase I dont know so please tell me. becuase I also need to pray for my mom she is sick and my dad died with cancer. which prayer is good for the reason like that pray for the sick and death.bettychao

Nov 22, 7:47 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: He has never refused me, I just need to remind myself, it’s not always the way I am looking for it to be.

Nov 22, 7:48 PM

Carol Ann: Meditating on the necessity of the Crucifixion

Nov 22, 7:48 PM

Simone Robinson: I know that battling self-love is easiest for me when I immerse myself a lot in Holy reading. ( also biographies of Saints)

Nov 22, 7:48 PM

Simone Robinson: also praying the rosary with intentional meditation on the mysteries, seems to help

Nov 22, 7:49 PM

Simone Robinson: being reminded how much I am forgiven.. that is probably somewhat what Carol Ann meant too

Nov 22, 7:49 PM

Carol Ann: Me too. I also like the Seven Sorrows rosary

Nov 22, 7:49 PM

Guest7288 (Guest): sister susan where are you?

Nov 22, 7:49 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Sometimes those stories help me, sometimes they don’t. I must go to Him as I am…all bumped and bruised and battered, just to rest in His embrace. He knows what I need.

Nov 22, 7:49 PM

Carol Ann: Yes, don’t let sin chase you

Nov 22, 7:50 PM

VisitationSiste: Betty any prayer is good as long as it is from the heart Say the Hail Mary

Nov 22, 7:50 PM

Simone Robinson: yes – resting in His embrace is sure soothing

Nov 22, 7:51 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Self-love is hard to recognize sometimes.

Nov 22, 7:51 PM

VisitationSiste: Yes just being with Jesus in a loving way in silence

Nov 22, 7:51 PM

Simone Robinson: I could spend hours, sitting in silence with Him. Is contemplative prayer part of Salesian Spirituality?

Nov 22, 7:52 PM

VisitationSiste: Yes definitely!

Nov 22, 7:52 PM

Simone Robinson: so glad to hear that.

Nov 22, 7:52 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: I can do something that would be considered a “good”, but I must be sure I am not seeking recognition or reward…no matter how small. It must be from me, for Jesus.

Nov 22, 7:52 PM

VisitationSiste: St Jane said that one should have a simple gaze on God

Nov 22, 7:52 PM

Simone Robinson: yes, love that ” simple gaze on God”

Nov 22, 7:53 PM

VisitationSiste: Dorothy are you referring to this q? How do we strike the balance between having a good, simple desire versus having an inordinate desire?

Nov 22, 7:53 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Someone asked the Cure D’Ars what he does all day sitting before the Blessed Sacrament and he said, “He looks at me, and I look at Him.” I think that is such a wonder image.

Nov 22, 7:54 PM

Guest7288 (Guest): today I was listen to the my friend she is benedictine nun from catalana barcelona spain but she speak very good english but she teach me in the zoom talk about love from the bible she give me so many chapters from the old testment from the bible and the hebrew history about the bible but she teach me in english. she teach me from spain to america she teach me in live zoom. this letter for sr susan marie

Nov 22, 7:54 PM

Carol Ann: Is inordinate desire a disordered desire? Destiny for the wrong reason?

Nov 22, 7:54 PM

Simone Robinson: as for your question Sr Susan.. But I do not think that there should be a balance.. should not inordinate desires be gone for good -if possible?

Nov 22, 7:54 PM

VisitationSiste: That is very wonderful Betty

Nov 22, 7:55 PM

VisitationSiste: That’s a good point Simone!

Nov 22, 7:55 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: I guess in some ways I am. Even in the secular world, when we see someone who does something…starts a special charitable group, pay for housing, etc., but the real reason they are doing it is for the tax rebates…they are still a good to those receiving, but the reason is self-motivated.

Nov 22, 7:55 PM

Simone Robinson: maybe I misunderstand inordinate desire. I also thought it is disordered.

Nov 22, 7:56 PM

VisitationSiste: true Dorothy

Nov 22, 7:56 PM

Simone Robinson: gosh.. these situations are so brutally hard for me not to judge.

Nov 22, 7:56 PM

VisitationSiste: I think but I will check inordinate may also indicate a too strong desire for something

Nov 22, 7:56 PM

Simone Robinson: oh.. thanks for clarifying Sr.

Nov 22, 7:56 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: The balance must begin in my heart. Who is at its center?

Nov 22, 7:57 PM

Carol Ann: How can you have too strong a desire for God?

Nov 22, 7:57 PM

VisitationSiste: in·or·di·nate
/inˈôrd(ə)nət/
Learn to pronounce
adjective
adjective: inordinate

unusually or disproportionately large; excessive

Nov 22, 7:57 PM

VisitationSiste: I don’t think it was referring to God but to things

Nov 22, 7:57 PM

Simone Robinson: I think the desires here are directed towards the world – not towards God.

Nov 22, 7:58 PM

Simone Robinson: humility – is a good counter balance to inordinate desires maybe

Nov 22, 7:58 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: For me, loving God is not something to do, but a way to live. Here and now on earth in our brothers and sisters. That is what Jesus came to show us. Dying to ourselves is a small crucifixion each time we choose Him.

Nov 22, 7:58 PM

Simone Robinson: in the way ‘ I am who I am ” not more and not less..

Nov 22, 7:59 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: “Be who you are and be that well, to bring glory to the Master who made you!!!”

Nov 22, 7:59 PM

Simone Robinson: also. being so close to God’s heart that we literally can feel, how inordinate desires slowly pull us away from His heart.. that motivates me to give them up or reel them in

Nov 22, 8:00 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: I believe that is all I can be & all Jesus wants me to be, though, always with my eyes and heart turned toward Him and His kingdom.

Nov 22, 8:01 PM

Simone Robinson: I know this is not Salesian.. but in the Ignatian Exercises there is a part called Principle and Foundation -and it speaks that we are made to love, revere and serve GOD. and this is the absolute base. When we look at the bottom of inordinate desires – they often serve us more than God – and often cover an area -where we avoid trusting Him.

Nov 22, 8:01 PM

Guest7288 (Guest): dear sr susan I miss sr jennifer I know my talk is non sense to you but I just ask .because I miss her alot. I was talk chinese mandiren to her one time in the phone. we have a sister from malaysia she talk mandiren and catonese and english she from the sisters of the sacred heart of mary monastery convent from my country taiwan. letter to sr susan.

Nov 22, 8:01 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Simone, I believe, for me, that’s what makes it so hard. Some of those things I need to reel in are things I’ve grown used to, attached to…but they also do no further my journey to union with Him. So leaving them behind…yes, that is very hard sometimes.

Nov 22, 8:02 PM

VisitationSiste: Sr Jennifer has a free night like me and can choose to be here or not but I will tell her you miss her Betty

Nov 22, 8:02 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: I believe St. Francis de Sales studied with the Jesuits and I find a great similarity between the two spiritualities.

Nov 22, 8:02 PM

Carol Ann: And there is the question of why we want to be closer to God. Is it for His sake, or because we want something

Nov 22, 8:02 PM

Simone Robinson: a good Spiritual Director can help you identify and find a way out of these desires. Dorothy. I just tackled a life long battle with gluttony. God graced me so so much to step out of that inordinate desire.

Nov 22, 8:02 PM

Guest7288 (Guest): thanks.

Nov 22, 8:02 PM

VisitationSiste: St Francis de Sales studied under the Jesuits and they influenced him greatly

Nov 22, 8:03 PM

Simone Robinson: I thought so, when I started reading Salesian literature that some things are very, very compatible with Ignatian Spirituality.

Nov 22, 8:03 PM

Dawn (Guest): or do we want to be closer because he tells us we were born to know love and serve God. It is the base reason we are here

Nov 22, 8:03 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: That is true, but it is all my work with God’s grace.

Nov 22, 8:04 PM

Guest7288 (Guest): sr susan I have a sister a nun from the sacred heart of mary her name is sr wu she teach me anything about the how to live in the holy life for jesus and she care about me alot like families . letter to sister susan

Nov 22, 8:04 PM

Simone Robinson: I think our desire – to be closer to God -even if we cannot fully word it sometimes what it is.. is a sign that we were made for that.

Nov 22, 8:04 PM

Dawn (Guest): We have to know him to love him.

Nov 22, 8:04 PM

Simone Robinson: and it helps to love Him to know Him better

Nov 22, 8:05 PM

VisitationSiste: The Lord always will help us to grow away from our weaknesses but we need patience

Nov 22, 8:06 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Yes to that, but every spiritual director I’ve ever had has always asked me, in just these words, “Yes, Dorothy, but do you ever shut up long enough to listen to what He has to say to you in reply to all your questions?”

Nov 22, 8:06 PM

Simone Robinson: yes.. impatience with our own personal spiritual journey can be also something that is more directed to please us -more than GOD. oh my.. the self love is popping up anywhere when we look closer

Nov 22, 8:07 PM

VisitationSiste: Ah yes listening, more important than talking

Nov 22, 8:07 PM

Simone Robinson: Do you think God has something to say Dorothy?

Nov 22, 8:07 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: I’m trying.

Nov 22, 8:07 PM

Simone Robinson: that is listening

Nov 22, 8:08 PM

Carol Ann: Self live sneaks in just everywhere

Nov 22, 8:08 PM

Simone Robinson: I agree Carol Ann

Nov 22, 8:08 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Absolutely! He has so much to tell me, I just need to listen & then we can work together to effect that change in me so we can be united when the time comes.

Nov 22, 8:08 PM

Simone Robinson: see? you are all set to listen Dorothy. What would help you to listen a little bit more?

Nov 22, 8:08 PM

Guest7288 (Guest): sr susan I was watching the you lecture about st margret mary online I really love to see all you lecture. I hope you can have more lecture in the future when the covid 19 is over I was pray to God for his goodness. letter to sr susan from bettychao

Nov 22, 8:09 PM

Simone Robinson: sorry Dorothy..that just popped out off my fingers here

Nov 22, 8:09 PM

VisitationSiste: Yes this was something our alum arranged did you all have a chance to listen to it

Nov 22, 8:10 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Changing 66 years of habits I’ve acquired…it just may take me 70 year more to change, even with His help. But no one knows me as well as He from before my birth & He still brought me into this existence.

Nov 22, 8:10 PM

Simone Robinson: I do not recall a link. Am I not on an email list maybe?

Nov 22, 8:10 PM

VisitationSiste: a short newsletter will come out on it but I will give you a link

Nov 22, 8:11 PM

Simone Robinson: You are so right Dorothy. He knows you so very well. And off to the next 66 years.

Nov 22, 8:11 PM

Simone Robinson: thank you Sr.

Nov 22, 8:11 PM

VisitationSiste: Glad you enjoyed it Betty

Nov 22, 8:11 PM

VisitationSiste: the one above on the podcast on St Margaret Mary

Nov 22, 8:12 PM

VisitationSiste: https://visitationspirit.podbean.com/

Nov 22, 8:12 PM

Dawn (Guest): Many treasures in the Visitation Spirit website, thank you

Nov 22, 8:12 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Oh, thanks.

Nov 22, 8:12 PM

VisitationSiste: You are welcome!

Nov 22, 8:12 PM

Simone Robinson: have to look around on this website more

Nov 22, 8:13 PM

Guest7288 (Guest): sr susan I want that link too can you give me the visitation spirit podbean.com so I can see all the visitation news. sr susan

Nov 22, 8:13 PM

VisitationSiste: you can use the search for topics or just go month by month with the blog

Nov 22, 8:13 PM

VisitationSiste: https://visitationspirit.podbean.com/ here it is again Betty

Nov 22, 8:13 PM

VisitationSiste: Q: What do you think it would have been like to be Moses on the cusp of entering the Promised Land, but only making it to where it was within sight? What lesson might we learn from this event?

Nov 22, 8:14 PM

Carol Ann: So extraordinarily painful

Nov 22, 8:14 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: For me it says, God’s will not mine.

Nov 22, 8:15 PM

Dawn (Guest): the lesson maybe to listen to and to obey God

Nov 22, 8:15 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Not easy, but if I love Him and say I want to live only for Him, that also includes some difficult, but necessary for me to unite with Him in eternity.

Nov 22, 8:15 PM

Simone Robinson: I always found that one of the harshest bible passages. I mean seriously? Moses gave so many years -fully dedicated – and then this? What comforted me one day when I realized that Moses actually DID enter the promised land. At the Transfiguration in the New Testament -he is right there.. so some things might be just fulfilled in heaven.

Nov 22, 8:16 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Yes! and that is the ultimate reward. Heaven!

Nov 22, 8:16 PM

Simone Robinson: The true promised land

Nov 22, 8:16 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Amen!

Nov 22, 8:17 PM

Guest7288 (Guest): I did draw a picture of blessed sacred heart I love to give to my boss because he is so care about me and he is mexican catholic and from his heart I saw the loving action from jesus, bettychao to sr susan.

Nov 22, 8:17 PM

Simone Robinson: I wonder – if GOD also wanted to show for leaders, that their decisions are so very important – when they lead a flock.

Nov 22, 8:17 PM

Carol Ann: I think it comes from him striking the rock three times instead of once, he just couldn’t fully believe water would come from the rock

Nov 22, 8:17 PM

Simone Robinson: so.. an action of doubt?

Nov 22, 8:17 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: …and that’s all it took.

Nov 22, 8:18 PM

Simone Robinson: I thought that he just repeated what he had done before – in a similar situation. without really going to GOd.

Nov 22, 8:18 PM

Simone Robinson: sorry.. I might mix up these two passages right now

Nov 22, 8:18 PM

Carol Ann: He was still loved and forgiven, but there was still a cinsequence

Nov 22, 8:18 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: a lifetime of obedience, and one moment of human doubt because it “couldn’t” be possible to us.

Nov 22, 8:18 PM

Nov 22, 8:18 PM

VisitationSiste: It’s on St Francis de Sales

Nov 22, 8:19 PM

Simone Robinson: Interesting, that we do not read more about the internal struggle of Moses on that. His death seemed to be quite peaceful

Nov 22, 8:19 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Thanks.

Nov 22, 8:19 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: He was love and he knew it. I don’t believe there was ever any doubt in that…just the silly, normal, human stuff.

Nov 22, 8:19 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: He was loved.

Nov 22, 8:20 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: but that stuff also needed to be purged before he could “enter the promised land”.

Nov 22, 8:20 PM

VisitationSiste: His own purgatory?

Nov 22, 8:21 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Yep.

Nov 22, 8:21 PM

Simone Robinson: I was just about to write that

Nov 22, 8:21 PM

Simone Robinson: sounds like purgatory

Nov 22, 8:21 PM

Simone Robinson: interesting thought

Nov 22, 8:21 PM

Carol Ann: It does

Nov 22, 8:21 PM

Guest7288 (Guest): sr susan marie I have to go and studied my book so I have to leave. i will pray for you all . God bless you. betty chao

Nov 22, 8:21 PM

Carol Ann: God bless you Betty

Nov 22, 8:21 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Absolutely. Even a microsecond of separation feels like an eternity…

Nov 22, 8:22 PM

Simone Robinson: do you think Moses would have been ready for the promised land?

Nov 22, 8:22 PM

VisitationSiste: God bless Betty Thanks for being here!

Nov 22, 8:22 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: I’ll be praying for you and your mom’s eye, Betty. Stay well.

Nov 22, 8:22 PM

Simone Robinson: You got me thinking now

Nov 22, 8:22 PM

Simone Robinson: Bye Betty

Nov 22, 8:22 PM

VisitationSiste: Our souls need purifying and I guess his might have too

Nov 22, 8:22 PM

Dawn (Guest): goodbye Betty! thank you

Nov 22, 8:22 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: I do believe that.

Nov 22, 8:22 PM

VisitationSiste: While he was forgiven in his earlier life he killed someone

Nov 22, 8:23 PM

VisitationSiste: So maybe there was a residue but I think Carol Ann answered about the rock and the water situation

Nov 22, 8:23 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Very true…actually that was all part of his journey…

Nov 22, 8:23 PM

Simone Robinson: But I always was under the impression, that this was dealt with already at the burning bush..or before

Nov 22, 8:23 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Yes, but only God has the final answer. I’ve been thinking about the 2 thieves who were crucified with Jesus.

Nov 22, 8:24 PM

VisitationSiste: You might be right !

Nov 22, 8:24 PM

Simone Robinson: what Carol said, about the striking three times?

Nov 22, 8:24 PM

VisitationSiste: So much we don’t know and can only speculate

Nov 22, 8:24 PM

VisitationSiste: Yes that was a fault

Nov 22, 8:24 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: I know we only heard about the “good” thief, we really don’t know if at the moment of his final breath where his heart was???

Nov 22, 8:25 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: It is always God’s will in the end…& that’s what I must learn to accept in my everyday comings & goings.

Nov 22, 8:25 PM

Carol Ann: Jesus was pretty matter of fact. You will be with me in Paradise today

Nov 22, 8:26 PM

VisitationSiste: last q Are you surprised that a saint like St. Jane de Chantal would have such a weakness within her heart as St. Francis describes?

Nov 22, 8:26 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Yes, but we don’t hear anything else from the “bad” guy…we don’t really know….God sees into the heart….we can’t.

Nov 22, 8:27 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: No. She is human. The grace was that she even addressed it and brought it to St. Francis.

Nov 22, 8:27 PM

Simone Robinson: I think only someone close to Sainthood – is sensitive enough to notice these small movements of the soul

Nov 22, 8:27 PM

Simone Robinson: yes and the humility to address it

Nov 22, 8:28 PM

Carol Ann: Sometimes I think I am improving but then I am shown how far I have to go still

Nov 22, 8:28 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: I believe that is an invitation to me…to listen & look with a discerning eye to my acts and motives.

Nov 22, 8:28 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: and then bring them to Jesus for healing.

Nov 22, 8:28 PM

Simone Robinson: welcome in the club Carol Ann. That makes life with GOD so exciting though.

Nov 22, 8:28 PM

VisitationSiste: to be balanced about ourselves is important and not to become scrupulous- trust God!

Nov 22, 8:29 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: St. Augustine, I think, said that we are in the process of conversion until 15 minutes after we die.

Nov 22, 8:29 PM

Carol Ann: Its not just a job, its an adventure!

Nov 22, 8:29 PM

Simone Robinson: yes, this concept of scrupulous– I have to look closer into that.

Nov 22, 8:29 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: I am always learning and changing, putting myself into the Master Potter’s hands for molding and re-molding.

Nov 22, 8:30 PM

Carol Ann: And someday we will be just right

Nov 22, 8:30 PM

Simone Robinson: It seems to me that “the enemy of human nature” can take your desire for holiness and can twist it so much that it actually hinders your growth towards God’s heart sometimes.

Nov 22, 8:30 PM

Simone Robinson: Yes, Carol Ann.. what an adventure it is !!!

Nov 22, 8:31 PM

VisitationSiste: Indeed! and may the adventure continue this Advent!

Nov 22, 8:31 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: ABSOLUTELY!!! and I had a real example of that right before I made my Consecration….The evil one can’t stand it when we make a decision to move closer to God.

Nov 22, 8:32 PM

VisitationSiste: Let’s pray for each other and esp for Carroll and Ruth

Nov 22, 8:32 PM

Carol Ann: Sometimes, if He weren’t holding on to me…

Nov 22, 8:32 PM

VisitationSiste: Many blessings to you!

Nov 22, 8:32 PM

Carol Ann: Me too, Dorothy

Nov 22, 8:32 PM

Carol Ann: Happy Thanksgiving Sister!

Nov 22, 8:32 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Absolutely. Have a Blessed Week everyone. Stay well.

Simone Robinson: Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.. from Canada!

Nov 22, 8:33 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Will we be meeting next Sunday, also?

Nov 22, 8:33 PM

Carol Ann: Wait, you had Thanksgiving already

Nov 22, 8:33 PM

Carol Ann: I believe so

Nov 22, 8:33 PM

Simone Robinson: Do you mean me Carol Ann?

Nov 22, 8:33 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Oops! Forgot, Have a Wonder Thanksgiving All!

Nov 22, 8:33 PM

Carol Ann: Yes Simone

Nov 22, 8:33 PM

Simone Robinson: Yes, we have Thanksgiving in October here.

Nov 22, 8:34 PM

Simone Robinson: But I come from Austria.. and there we have no Thanksgiving at all… sad…

Nov 22, 8:34 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Forgot, Simone, yours was in October…Have a good week &n a wonderful first Sunday of Advent.

Nov 22, 8:34 PM

Simone Robinson: Thank you Dorothy! Marching full speed into the adventure of this week to come

Nov 22, 8:34 PM

Carol Ann: I can’t believe this year has gone so fast

Nov 22, 8:34 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Talk to you all next week….God Bless You!

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Good Night!

Nov 22, 8:35 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: I’ll be praying for you Carol

Nov 22, 8:35 PM

Simone Robinson: haha.. I even make a typo with emojis

Nov 22, 8:35 PM

Dorothy Solarino-Berman: Ha!

Nov 22, 8:36 PM

Carol Ann: That’s funny!
